It’s not that the controls are bad or that the learning curve is disadvantageous for the player, but the animations feel unpolished, combat is sometimes really weird and the AI is just bad. The game is meant to offer the player the Spider Man experience but it unfortunately plays like it has two left feet. After a short brawl with Rhino, the game picks up the pace. After that, you quickly find yourself in the middle of a prison riot where you have to disperse some much needed order using some fairly good punch and kick combos. In the first minutes of the game, Bruce Campbell provides the narrator voice for a short tutorial that teaches you how to move around the city and fight. Simple gameplay but also a bit too clunky Moreover, for that extra piece of enjoyment, Tobey Maguire does the voice-over for Spider Man. It immerses you into the world of ‘Spidey’ and places you right in the middle of some of his great battles.
Spider-Man 2 is the video game adaptation of the movie with the same name.
